Book: Here and Now
Genre: Romance Fiction
Reviewed by: Alison Richardson

This is her latest release and is a bit of a departure from her usual story matter. As usual, it is a story about a family and their relationships but this book’s central character is struggling with the onset of dementia. The consequences of her dementia and her realisation of her memory loss are dealt with sensitively and warmly, very different from ‘Elizabeth is missing’ by Emma Healey. For light relief, there are still the more usual romantic storylines and of course goodness overcomes all obstacles.

This book made me consider what it must be like to have dementia and how it must be to try and cope with it. However, because of the romance and warmth of the characters it was still enjoyable.
